No one can predict whether tomorrow or the afterlife will arrive first. In reality, we are just a breath away from the afterlife, and if we engage in unwholesome actions, the path to an unfortunate realm is just a step away.

Nothing that happens cannot be traversed. What is impassable is not an event but one’s own entanglements. Ordinary beings live in an unending drama of the mind, while the wise live in every present moment, each moment manifesting as emptiness.
